Artwork by Richard Sullivan, a former professional baseball player, was selected for the label of the 2021 Woodford Reserve Kentucky Derby commemorative bottle. Sullivan’s watercolor is of thoroughbreds thundering down the stretch and was designed as a complement to last year’s Derby bottle artwork, which he also created.

Missy and Joe Duer began producing whiskey at Indian Creek Distillery near New Carlisle in 2012, resurrecting a family tradition that dates to the early 19th century.
