Debate Over ‘Swipe Fees’ Heating Up

The Ohio Licensed Beverage Association, as well as our national affiliate, the American Beverage Licensees, has been monitoring legislation, organizing grassroots advocacy and working on behalf of beverage alcohol retail licensees.

Some of the other OLBA board members and I recently took a trip to Washington, D.C., to express our concerns regarding big banks and credit card companies moving to delay reform and the implementation of rules governing debit card swipe fees imposed on retailers.
