Gin Maintains Popularity

Gin is an old standard, the foundation for such legendary cocktails as the Martini, Gin & Tonic and Gimlet, but now new distillers are spurring a growth in the category in part because new gin offerings often don’t exactly taste like gin, at least gin as we’ve always known it to taste.

Juniper berries is the primary ingredient in gin, but now many distillers are using less juniper and more citrus or other botanicals.
