New Name, Same Old Marin

William Shakespeare’s famous line, “... a rose by any other name would smell as sweet,” from “Romeo and Juliet,” could be used to describe the recent name change of a noted anti-alcohol advocacy group — except for the sweet part.

The self-proclaimed alcohol industry watchdog formerly known as Marin Institute is now calling itself “Alcohol Justice.” According to the group’s CEO, Bruce Lee Livingston, the new name reflects that it is “vigilant, fair and laser-focused.”
