LaRose, Son Of Akron Beer Wholesaler, Wins Senate Seat

AKRON — The son of a third-generation beer wholesaler here was elected to the Ohio Senate on Nov. 2. Frank LaRose, a member of the founding family of The House of LaRose, a Northeast Ohio beer wholesaler, was successful in his run for the Senate in the 27th District; the district comprises most of northern and western Summit County, including portions of Akron. The seat currently is held by Republican Kevin Coughlin, who was term limited from running again.
