Foodservice Sales Up In C-stores

COLUMBUS — Whether heading out to lunch or looking to grab a quick bite to eat while on the road,  convenience stores are becoming increasingly popular as a dining option.

“You’re seeing a lot more foodservice and fresh options — freshly made deli sandwiches, fresh fruit,” said Gordon Gough, executive director of the Ohio Association of Convenience Stores. “You go into a convenience store now and you see a lot of deli options, healthier foods.”
