Permit holders know that liquor laws strictly regulate the sale of alcoholic beverages to, and consumption by, patrons of the business. Permit holders, however, sometimes do not realize that these laws apply equally not only to patrons, but also to permit holders and their employees. Laws addressing the hours of sale and consumption of alcoholic beverages are perhaps the best example.
