NASCAR Lifts Ban On Spirits Sponsorships

The motorsports sponsorship landscape changed recently with the National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing's decision last month to allow distilled spirits in on the sport's marketing action. For more than 50 years, spirits have been excluded from any marketing campaigns associated with NASCAR and most other automotive racing programs. However, beer is among motorsports' leading sponsors.
