Beer, Wine Taxes Targeted In Taft's Two-Year Budget

COLUMBUS - Taxes on beer and wine would double under the two-year budget proposed last month by Gov. Bob Taft. Taft also proposed more than doubling the current excise tax on cigarettes in his $51 billion budget plan. The proposal was introduced in the General Assembly as House Bill 66.
