LAWYER FINED - A Cleveland attorney was fined last month after he pleaded no contest to charges of giving improper gifts to state employees. Franklin County Municipal Judge Ted Barrows ordered George Bernard Harris, 83, to pay a fine of $1,000, according to the Associated Press. Two counts of improper compensation were dismissed in return for Harris' plea, AP reported.
