Mike Haering, brand director for Canadian Mist, said a bartender in Missouri told him many consumers there have taken to substituting whisky for vodka in their Bloody Marys. Drinkers making such substitutions ""don't want, basically, a flavorless spirit like vodka. They want a light whisky flavor,"" he said.
