Amended Bill Targets Repeat OVI Offenders

COLUMBUS - Legislation initially designed to protect law enforcement officers was amended this month to increase penalties for repeat drunken driving offenders.The amendment to House Bill 259 targets suspected OVI offenders who refuse alcohol breath tests. The language was culled from from Senate Bill 141, which has stalled in the Ohio House since passing the Senate in the fall.
