Cachaa 61 is a Brazilian spirit, obtained by distillation of fermented sugar cane juice, with alcohol strength 40 percent by volume. Cachaa (ka-shah-sa) is made from pure cane sugar and cannot be compared to rum, which is made from molasses left over from cane sugar refining. Armando Missiato and his brothers started to bottle and market some of their own brands of Cachaa.
