A recent television news report trumpeted the success of a sobriety checkpoint in a Central Ohio community. According to the report, more than 500 cars were stopped during the nearly five-hour long operation. And the number of drunken driving arrests resulting from those stops? One.The Blade of Toledo reported similar results from a local checkpoint: 1,451 cars stopped, two drivers arrested for OVI.
