LAWYER ACQUITTED - Cleveland liquor lawyer Eugene Stevens was acquitted last month of charges of improper compensation for giving gifts to employees of the Division of Liquor Control. According to the Associated Press, Stevens was found not guilty of 10 ethics charges. The charges resulted from an Ethics Commission investigation which found Stevens had given 11 Liquor Control employees gas cards worth $25 and $50.
