Liquor Sales Up 4% In FY09

COLUMBUS - The Ohio Department of Commerce last month reported record liquor sales of $729.9 million for fiscal year 2009. Spirituous liquor sales at the state's 442 contract liquor agencies were up $32.2 million, or 4.61 percent, over sales in fiscal 2008. In addition, the Ohio Division of Liquor Control's net profit increased to $224.2 million, an increase of $11.2 million over the previous year.
