Supreme Court: Slots Plan Subject To Vote

COLUMBUS Ñ The Supreme Court of Ohio ruled last month that provisions in the stateÕs recently approved two-year budget bill authorizing installation of video lottery terminals at Ohio horse racing tracks are subject to a statewide voter referendum because the VLTs do not fall within any of the exceptions to the right of referendum set forth in the Ohio Constitution.
