WET WIN — Beverage alcohol sales will be legal in New Concord, the hometown of John Glenn, for the first time since Prohibition following a successful local option vote last month. According to the Zanesville Times Recorder, voters approved alcohol sales 279-237 for Riesbeck’s food market. While approving Monday through Saturday beer, wine and mixed beverage sales for the market, voters turned back two similar options for a local Circle K convenience store, the Times Recorder reported.
