It is important that any holder of a liquor permit notifies the Division of Liquor Control when the permit business will be temporarily closed.

The Liquor Control Act mandates that if a permit holder will be closing the permit business “for a period in excess of 30 days,” then the Division of Liquor Control must be notified. Thus, if an issued permit is not being utilized, the permit holder must inform the Division of Liquor Control.
