Asking The Right Question
Is honesty the best policy when it comes to alcohol compliance checks? Some lawmakers in Nebraska apparently think so.
Legislation is under consideration in the Cornhusker State that would require underage decoys in alcohol compliance checks to “tell the truth” about their age if questioned by permit holders or their employees. Currently, minors used by police may lie if asked their age, and retailers can be busted if a sale is made on the basis of a dishonest answer.
