Suntory International Joins DISCUS
WASHINGTON — The Distilled Spirits Council of the United States last month announced that Suntory International Corp. has joined the trade group, which is composed of most major producers and marketers of distilled spirits in the United States.
Established in 1899 by Shinjiro Torii, Suntory has a history of pioneering new businesses and new markets. Suntory has more than 25,000 employees and more than $22 billion in sales worldwide. Its best known distilled spirits products include Midori melon liqueur and Suntory whiskies: Yamazaki, Hibiki and the recently launched Hakushu.
