Columbus Distiller Gets First New A-3A Permit

COLUMBUS — A Columbus microdistillery was the first to receive a new permit as the result of a law change effective last month.

House Bill 243 eliminated restrictions on the number of A-3A manufacturing licenses that may be issued for microdistilleries in Ohio. During a ceremony on March 23, HB 243’s effective date, Watershed Distillery of Columbus was the first microdistillery to receive an A-3A as a result of the new law.
