COLUMBUS — Legislation seeking a bar exemption to Ohio’s Smoke Free Workplace Act may be the next step for smoking ban opponents following the Supreme Court of Ohio’s rejection last month of a Columbus tavern’s challenge to the law.

Maurice Thompson, executive director of the 1851 Center for Constitutional Law, an Ohio-based public interest law firm, told the Associated Press that legislation is being crafted that would exempt bars from the smoking ban.
