PAINESVILLE — A Painesville microdistillery last month was granted a new manufacturing license by the Ohio Division of Liquor Control.

Seven Brothers Distilling Co. received approval for a new A-3A permit that allows distilleries making less than 10,000 gallons of spirituous liquor per year to offer tasting samples and carryout sales of their products. The availability of the permit was made possible by the recently enacted House Bill 243, which eliminated restrictions on the number of manufacturing licenses that can be issued for microdistilleries.
