COLUMBUS — In the past decade, Ohio has seen its wine industry skyrocket with the addition of dozens of new wineries, but if that growth is to continue, one boost could come from the use of different varieties of grapes grown in the state, according to Ohio State University researchers.
Researchers at the OSU Extension and the Ohio Agricultural Research and Development Center are determining what new wine grape varieties can survive and thrive in Ohio’s climate.
