ALE TO THE CHIEF — The White House recently made public recipes to two beers currently being made at the presidential residence. Both White House Honey Ale and White House Honey Porter are the result of a decision last year by President Barack Obama to buy a homebrewing kit for the White House kitchen. Both beers are made from honey tapped by the first-ever bee hive on the South Lawn and are thought to be the first alcohol brewed or distilled on the White House grounds.
