An educated Scotch drinker may often choose a high-end, well-aged whisky as a drink of choice, but no age statement whiskys are causing debates about what makes a good drink in the Scotch industry.

Some Scotch drinkers view no age statements as a way for companies to sell whisky that hasn’t aged or matured as long without labeling them in a way that gives away their youth, a practice that some think drives up prices on younger products. Others think that age may just be a number.
