FAST MOVER — Cleveland’s Great Lakes Brewing Co. enjoyed a record turnout Oct. 25 for its “First Pour 2012” event for its Christmas Ale. According to the brewery, 6,298 pints of the ale were served over 13 1/2 hours, or one about every 7.7 seconds. Those attending also were treated to original poetry from GLBC co-owner Pat Conway, as well as Jason Stitt and Michael Hagesfeld, winners of the brewery’s inaugural Christmas Ale Poetry Contest. For anyone unable to attend the First Pour event. the Christmas Ale is now available in bottles in Great Lakes’ markets.
