COLUMBUS — Rep. Matt Huffman recently introduced a bill into the Ohio General Assembly that aims to outline which sweepstakes are legal and which are not under the law.

Huffman, a Lima Republican, said that if the proposed legislation, House Bill 605, were enacted, it could “effectively ban Internet gaming cafes in the state.”

The bill would further define what is considered a “lottery” in state law and would give the Ohio Lottery Commission the authority to set rules on what is considered a “scheme of chance.”
