COLUMBUS — Legislation introduced last month in the Ohio Senate would expand the locations eligible for a permit originally destined for an economic development project.

Senate Bill 48 would allow liquor permits that were transferred to an economic development project to be subsequently transferred to a location that does not qualify as an economic development project. The transfer of the C-1, C-2, D-1, D-2, D-3 or D-5 permit would be limited to a premises located in the same municipal corporation or unincorporated area of the same township as the transferring premises.
