What'll It Be? Commit Or Not?

Behind the Bar-A +A

A popular hole-in-the-wall kind of joint I frequent has a sign made from a piece of rough-cut lumber posted behind the bar above the cash register that always seems to catch my eye, usually when I’m reaching for a toothpick. The hand-painted message reads:

CUSTOMER CHOICES:

1. Take it
2. Leave it.

I’m sure it was posted with tongue in cheek.

Or was it?
