The passage of Senate Bill 67 is the latest — and perhaps final — chapter in a dispute between Gov. John Kasich and state Auditor David Yost over the financial records of JobsOhio.
Earlier this year, Yost sought JobsOhio’s records in an effort to audit the funds of the jobs-creation entity. JobsOhio initially balked at Yost’s request because the feeling of Kasich and his supporters was that the nonprofit JobsOhio is a private corporation that is not subject to state audits.
