HOFBRAU HAPPENING — Cincinnati Restaurant Group Inc., which built the first licensed Hofbrauhaus in the United States, is proposing an $8.4 million project in downtown Cleveland. According to The Plain Dealer, the theater district project would combine a Hofbrauhaus with the Hermit Club, a 100-year-old private club dedicated to amateur performing arts. Under the proposal, CRG plans to wrap a restaurant and entertainment venue around the Hermit Club to create a 660-seat hall and 1,000-seat beer garden; the venue also will brew Hofbrau beer on site.
