Beer Wholesalers Add $1.6B To Ohio Economy

WASHINGTON — Ohio beer distributors employ more than 4,500 people and contributed more than a billion dollars to the state’s economy, according to a report by the National Beer Wholesalers Association.

According to the 2013 economic impact report, “America’s Beer Distributors: Fueling Jobs, Generating Economic Growth & Delivering Value to Local Communities,” Ohio beer distributors directly employ 4,527 people; when the impact of Ohio distributor operations, capital investment and community involvement are considered, the total number of impact jobs is nearly 12,000.
