COLUMBUS — A permit holder in Shadyside has been ordered to close her business for a year for allegedly selling synthetic drugs.

In a ruling last month, Belmont County Common Pleas Judge John Solovan II declared Shadyside Party Center a public nuisance and ordered that the business be closed for one year, effective Oct. 1. The ruling was made after Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine filed a nuisance abatement action against the business earlier this year.
