Craft Brewers Add $1.2B To Ohio Economy
BOULDER, Colo. — Craft brewing is a billion dollar industry in Ohio, according to a recent economic analysis by the Brewers Association.
Small and independent brewers in Ohio contributed $1.26 billion to the state’s economy in 2012, or $150.19 per 21 and older adult. Nationally, craft brewers added $33.9 billion to the U.S. economy, with a per capita impact of $149.46.
According to the BA, California craft brewers led the nation with a $4.7 billion economic impact, followed by Texas at $2.3 billion, New York at $2.2 billion and Pennsylvania at $2 billion.
