NRA Sees Artisan Spirits Trending In 2014
WASHINGTON — Microdistilled/artisan spirits top the National Restaurant Association’s “What’s Hot” survey of drink menu trends for 2014.
The NRA surveyed nearly 1,300 professional chefs, members of the American Culinary Federation, revealing that the No. 2 predicted trend for 2013 took over the top spot for the upcoming year. Also trending in 2014, according to the survey, will be locally produced beer/wine/spirits, onsite barrel-aged drinks, culinary cocktails and regional signature cocktails.
