Liquor Sales Reach $898M In 2013
COLUMBUS — Dollar sales of spirituous liquor in Ohio reached a record level in 2013, according to the Ohio Division of Liquor Control.
Dollar sales totalled $898 million last year, an increase of $49 million, or 5.8 percent, over 2012.
According to the division, retail dollar sales were strong in 2013, totaling $635 million, an increase of 7.35 percent from the previous year. Wholesale dollar sales also showed strong growth, totaling $264 million, an increase of 2.5 percent.
