McCormick's Joe David Retires

DETROIT — Joe David of McCormick Distilling Co. retired as Eastern Control States vice president effective June 30.

David started out as a sales representative for Hiram Walker in 1968 and eventually became sales manager in 1975. In 1977 he moved to Glenmore Distilling and joined McCormick in 2002. He was a member of the Michigan Spirits Association since 1973 and served as the group’s president, vice president, secretary and board member.

In retirement, David said he plans to travel and run his restaurant, The Bank 1884, in Port Austin, Mich.
