COLUMBUS — On Aug. 23, Ohio Liquor for the first time will release two Old Forester President’s Choice whiskeys at select OHLQ locations across the state.

Old Forester President’s Choice bourbon and Old Forester President’s Choice rye are single-barrel expressions of Old Forester’s most exceptional barrels, inspired by the first private single barrels offered in the industry in 1964 by former distillery President George Garvin Brown II, according to OHLQ. Chosen barrels are typically aged between seven and nine years and will vary within the traditional range of between 110 and 125 proof.
Rarely available outside of the distillery, the whiskeys are some of Old Forester’s most limited expressions.
Old Forester President’s Choice bourbon and Old Forester President’s Choice eye each will be priced at $249.99 (plus tax), and both will be available until they sell out. Purchases are limited to one bottle total per customer per transaction.
Participating OHLQ locations will be announced on the morning of Aug. 23 on the OHLQ website.
All participating locations will be open at 9 a.m. for the special release.
