American whiskey collector Mike Daley recently paid $2.8 million for The Emerald Isle, a 30-year-old, triple-distilled Irish single malt whiskey, making it the most expensive bottle of whisk(e)y ever sold. The latest addition to Daley’s collection, which includes several thousand bottles of whiskey/whisky, is one of only seven sets in existence.
